A Cool New Makeup Line (e.l.f. Products For Eyes, Lips & Face) Only $1 Apiece!

| Comments (77)

elf cosmetics... each one only costs a dollar! There's a new line of makeup products for Eyes, Lips and Face (e.l.f.) on the market.

The best part? They're only $1 apiece!

So, thanks to e.l.f. cosmetics, women can now experiment with makeup without going broke.

(...and they're cheap enough, you can finally afford to have your favorite lip gloss, mascara, or powder everywhere... one in your car, one in your purse, one in your desk at work, and one at your makeup station at home!)

Choose from cool products like:

Yep, each costs just one dollar!

elf makeup brushes They also offer lots of cool products for your nails (all still $1 apiece), makeup tools like brushes, applicators, sharpeners, etc. (most for just a buck apiece), and lots of fun makeup brushes as well as kits and gift sets (for $5 to $20).

In fact, the company claims that you can make up your entire face for just $12 ...including all the tools!

Here's an interesting video featuring some of e.l.f's products and the reason for e.l.f's success.

How Can Makeup Only Cost $1?

Before you go thinking this is a teen makeup line or that it's just another brand of "cheap" cosmetics that can't compare to the more expensive makeup lines on the market, consider this...

Just as there are "generic drugs" made which are identical to their high-cost name-brand medicines, there are also "generic makeups" made which are identical to their high-cost name-brand cosmetics.

The only difference is the amount of money spent on marketing the product. Period.

e.l.f. is a prime example of this theory. They are able to offer high quality makeup products at a very low price because of their...

...low overhead costs

...lack of advertising

...minimal packaging

Sometimes, word-of-mouth is the most effective form of advertising there is. Check out all the buzz!

In fact, Shamah, the company's co-owner says that Eva Longoria, Hillary Duff, Alicia Keys, and Jamie Lynn DiScala are among the celebrities who've been known to "snatch a little e.l.f." (see video below).

Who's Behind e.l.f. Products?

Scott Vincent Borba (according to Oprah magazine, he's responsible for Hard Candy's cosmetics line and Neutrogena's men's line) and Joey Shamah.

Check out this video featuring Borba and Shamah.

Together, these two are helping millions of women look great with the same testing & ingredients found in high-end "expensive" makeup... at a fraction of the cost.

For the record, there's no animal testing, and only all-natural ingredients in all e.l.f. products.

Where To Get e.l.f. Products

Supposedly, the e.l.f. makeupis available at Target, but I haven't been able to find it at the two Target stores near me.

Luckily, they offer the same prices for the same products through their website as well. I've been eying their site for awhile now, and I've noticed that they rotate back & forth between FREE and low-cost shipping.

PLUS, when you shop online, they even throw in an extra item for good measure... It's all about first impressions and encouraging ladies to experiment and have FUN with makeup.

Here's a great little video documentary on the e.l.f. makeup line.

Try 'Em Out Online

So tell me, when was the last time you got something of quality for a buck? I know it's been awhile since $10 got ME ten different products worth anything!

And just how much FUN are ya gonna have the day that package arrives in the mail ...loaded with so many cool makeup products to try???

Check out e.l.f. products online.

...This is one time when a few bucks definitely can go a long way!

Having the thought that only $1 for a lip gloss was too good to be true, I ordered a hypershine gloss and I LOVED it! The packaging is not fancy but does the work. The color was playful and it smells really good. I will definitely try other products and recommend the brand to my girlfriends!

I just ordered like $30 worth of products of theirs yesterday so I cant comment on the actual product just yet. But, I found out about E.L.F. because a friend of mine told me that Nordstroms was buying them out and they were selling everything for $1 until the name was changed. So I told a bunch of people and they all ordered. Come to find out this morning that the whole Nordstroms/Bloomingdales (depending on the story you heard) was bull. So that got me worried about my credability to my friends over a cheap product. I did some research and came across this page where people are raving about just how great the product is. That makes me feel better. So we will see when I get the make up if its all its cracked up to be. Thanks everyone for the reviews.

Jenna said:

Did you ever receive your make up or did they not ship it to you? I have read numerous emails after I ordered from the company that they have horrible customer service and that most people do not receive their product and they take their money anyway.

I was really excited to get my first e.l.f package. At first, as you may have heard of this, I thought make up for only 1$ is too good to be true. But I still gave it a try. I have ordered about 22 things of all kinds(eyes, lips, face, and brushes,Tools, etc.) and I got a free nail polish remover. I liked all the products expect for the nail remover becuase it got dry very soon. I think you should try differents types of product, but make sure to try all of the products, they are all great. I would rate it 9 out of 10

I've been ordering from elf for quite a long time now...and I have not have any problems with them...I usually get everything and if I don't I get refunded...if something comes damage...I call them and they replace it! I always get everything within a week.
I love their lip products, they are the best and they are the only lip products I use.
The nail polishes are the best I have ever tried and the only ones I use.
The brushes are awesome...only ones I use!
The hydro-tint is one of my favorite products!!! it is soo mosturizing!!!
The press powders are ok...
the concealors and all over face sticks are great!!!! I use no ther concealor!!!
I don't care for the eye shadows though.
The mineral makeup is too light weight and too natural looking...I didn't see much of a difference on my face and no cover up.
The mascaras are awesome but they dry out in the tube too quick...
I don't care much for the other products...I have used everything...and they are ok...for a dollar you can't go wrong...
wish they had a variety of colors though..
Elf is my favorite cosmetic line of makeup!!!!

I've ordered from elf about six or seven times in the past 2 months alone! I love it!!!
I am just now getting into make up now that I have a 'real job' and elf lets me try out a lot of different looks without paying a lot of money. I LOVE the mineral foundation. I bought bare minerals just two weeks ago, and even though i prefer the bare minerals to the elf minerals, I find that it is comparable. I tend to wear elf minerals make up some days and the bare minerals others.
The lip glosses are the BEST!
I don't particularly care for the eye shadow, it is gone in like 3 hours, and is a real nuisance.
The shielding hydro tint and pressed powder are awesome, but my absolute fav elf product HAS to be the mineral make up!!!! ^_^ I totally recommend. I'm going to buy some for my girlfrends.

PS - I never have a problem with shipping. If anything I would say that I am pleased with the service, they shipped rather quickly.
Once they were out of an item I ordered, I too was told I would receive a refund, but it was only $1.00, nothing to fuss over when it wasn't refunded.
I've never had to deal with customer service, but I live on the east coast in Jersey and every time I've ordered, the item has come to my door within two weeks or less!

I got an e-mail today from a friend saying that E.L.F. had just been bought out be Nordstrom's, and so they were selling out their remaining stock (printed with the E.L.F. name) for a dollar apiece. My friend had already gone to the site and spent quite a bit, and I went there without doing any research and spent a bit myself. I only just placed my order a couple of hours ago, so I'll keep my fingers crossed that I receive my order without incident and actually enjoy at least some of the products. I knew there had to be something up with that story.... I just didn't listen to myself. Fingers crossed!

This company is horriable and the customer service is worsse. I placed my ordered they charged me the full amount. Then didn't sent everything as it was out of stock - so they were suppose to credit my account - to this day I have only recieved a $1.00 credit and it was suppose to be $12. I've emailed, called, and emailed, and called an no response or resolution. If you don't want to be taken advantage of don't order from them and plus the products are horriable!!! Which I guess should be expected for only a $1.00 each. I would rather spend more money for a product that would last and not damage my skin.

Hi! For all those out there who are skeptical about ELF, IT WORKS! I placed my order on 7/12 and just received it on 7/26.... it took about 2 weeks. At first, my girlfriends and I thought it was a scam and did all sorts of research on it. Sure, customer service sucked and you don't always get what you ordered but hey! what do you expect from them? That's one of the reason they keep their costs low and how all of us was able to get decent makeup at such a great price. You also pay for what you get! I did like alot of the items though.... The Hypershine Lip Gloss & Plumping Lip Glaze works wonders... a bunch of their "tools" were of very professional quality. To sum it up, I was very pleased with the items that I placed another order with ELF & used the Carolina promo code again & it worked! I plan to continue using ELF and recommending ELF to my friends & family!!! Oh! to top it off, they also threw in 2 sample satchels of "BORBA", the age defying skin renewal powder drink! NICE!!!

carol said:

That CAROLINA coupon really did work, supposedly just through July 1st, though. I used it and just received a giant box of goodies all for $33. I think one item is missing and based on some reviews I possibly will not get that $1 back, but c'est la vie. The rest is looking really good, including the bags and the brushes. I will say the plumping lip gloss is doing its job with the plumping and the gloss and moisturizing, but it kind of, um, doesn't taste too good to me. But it was a fun experiment! Especially with the coupon!!!! It introduced me to some things I wouldn't have tried otherwise, like bronzing powder and all-over color, etc. I'm hoping the hypershine lip gloss smells good. I haven't tried it yet.

sara said:

I got the scam email then did a little research and got excited about the prices and reviews, then came here and read about the customer service nightmares and decided to try the products through drugstore.com since i know they're reputable and are running a coupon code for $5.00 off a $30.00 order. In my scam email it said to enter discount code CAROLINA on ELF's website for a 50% discount on my whole order but there was no such discount. Just a little fyi :)

mel said:

I bought a lipgloss from them, Not the website but a store called burlington coat factory. It's pretty decent for a dollar. It has SPF15 which is good. It smells nice and it has a taste to it too.

Hi Zay,

May I know which number you called?

I recently ordered some elf products for my friends and had received the package sometime ago however I've 16USD worth of missing items in my package. My friend had a similar experience too =(

We had tried contacting them many times which includes emailing & calling them but did not receive a reply to our questions. Except for one which tated that "We will reship your missing items to you". It's been a week or so and no replies or updates from them regarding our queries.

Thanks in advamce.

I've been ordering from elf for a bit no...I haven't had any problems with them yet...When I place an order, I get an email the next day saying my order has been shipped. Also everytime I call, someone actually answers(some sound a bit unprofessional, but most are friendly) not a recording..I've called them as late as 9pm eastern time. If something comes damage, they replace it, free of chanrge and free shipping.
I love all of their products.

What is this thing about shipping?! I was looking at elf stuff, so I thought I'd read the reviews, and it started out all positive, talking about the products, and then all of a sudden this Bloomingdale's stuff and shipping stuff? I have a question. Does the shipping thing happen if you buy at the drugstore.com?

Justin said:

I ordered some e.l.f. products about 2 weeks ago. I keep checking my order status online (when it lets me, 1/2 the time it says it has no info for my email & password) and it has not changed from order received. I have yet to receive a "your order has shipped email," yet they have the time to send out advertisements about where their products are now available to me. I emailed Achelle a question before my order and I spent a month waiting for an answer after resending it twice, and no answer...got fed up of waiting and just ordered. When I call the number all I get is recordings. I wish I had known how bad it was before I ordered. I saw the products in Lucky magazine and want them still...but when will I get them?!?! 3-5 weeks is rediculous...what did I get myself into?

WARNING: NO RETURNS!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I had a terrible experience with E.L.F. I ordered the 100 piece kit, thinking how much fun it would be to play with that many new colors. It took over 2 months to get the products. And when the order finally arrived, it was incomplete. An enclosed letter said I would be credited for the missing items, but I never have been. I ended up with tons (probably 80 pieces) of very, poor quality lip gloss. ELF glosses have thick, heavy, sticky texture and leaves a film on your mouth even after trying to wipe it off. My fiance hates when I wear their brand, which is fine b/c I don't like wearing it due to the texture and appearance.

I tried to contact ELF many time electronically and never received a response. Only after calling the number on my credit card and reaching a "this number has been changed and the new number is" recording and then trying that number did I reach a corporate headquarters recording. I left a message on a "general mailbox" option and informed them I was filing a dispute with my credit company and after a couple weeks got a call from a real person. She told me they have a NO RETURN policy. I asked where that information was available b/c I had certainly never seen it. She said if I went to their website and hit the shopping cart link, that way down in the lower right hand corner, in little letters is a link to their return policy. No returns is their policy.

I am going to continue with the dispute paperwork from my credit card company and file a claim with the Better Business Bureau.

I would warn anyone who is curious about this product to beware.......

On 10/4 I placed an order for $27.00, and like most everyone I got the email that states "Due to high volume it may take up to 3 - 5 weeks to ship your order."

11/3 I called and left a message with a woman regarding the status. She said someone whould call me back that day - DAYS later received an EMAIL (not phone call) that states the ?tremendous spike in demand has resulted in delayed shipments of some orders?you will be receiving your order shortly? along with a $5 "my bad" coupon code.

11/6 ELF charged my credit card on 11/6 for the full $27.

HERE's WHERE IT GETS GOOD-
Around 11/13 I received my order and THREE items were missing, including one item that the packing slip showed as FULFILLED. **SIDE NOTE - the item was an eyelash curler, and the sad thing is, they sent AN EMPTY EYELASH CURLER PACKAGE!!!!

A note was also included that states "Due to high demand some items you ordered are currently unavailable. You will receive a credit for the full amount of the missing items...your credit card company may take up to 2 weeks to post the credit to your account."

12/10 - I have NOT received credit for the missing items. It has been over 2 months since this whole process began, and I?m quite eager to end it. I just submitted my complaint to the better business beaurau, and I ENCOURAGE ALL WHO HAVE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE TO DO SO.

I have never encountered such poor service from a company, and I highly suggest ALL CONSUMERS BEWARE!

I also ordered months ago (beginning of October) and have not received anything--not even a personal email in response to my 3 emails asking why I have paid, but have not received the products. They do not bill you under "ELF," they have a parent company name that shows up on your bank statement. They took my money 3 weeks after I ordered, and they have not gotten me the makeup yet. At this point, I just want a refund. I'm very disappointed in their shady business practices of taking money and not providing service. It's a shame that such a great idea as affordable makeup has to be carried out so badly--I don't think I'll buy from them just on principle now.

For those of you that feel unsure about ordering elf products through their website you can now also order them through drugstore.com which is a very reputable company, i have been buying with them for years even when i was deployed to iraq they would still ship to me and i would get my stuff on time. I just noticed the elf line today while i was browing their website and one of the best things is that you can read reviews on the products posted by the people who use them. hope this was helpful.

I ordered a while ago as well, but I have received my order. Everything is awesome. I am a huge fan of this place now, regardless of the whole scammy thing they pulled aligning themselves with Bloomies. The makeup is pretty nice, and that eyeshadow does NOT crease, after wearing it all day. A little fading...but no creasing. My M.A.C. eyeshadow (NOT $1 btw) creases. The mascara is subpar, and the concealer is just ok...but hey, for ONE DOLLAR I dont care.

i've waited two months for my shipment to come. I'm starting to wonder if will even come at all. I've gotten 5 of the same automated responses back to my numerous emails. If you want makeup you can get and use promptly do NOT order from them unless you want to wait two months or more to even try them out. These products better be amazing because i've never even waited half as long for a pachage to come in.

I am seriously frustrated with the lack of service and lack of customer service of this company. I placed an order on September 26th. I emailed to check on the status the second week in October and was told that it may take longer to fulfill due to high order volume. That is fine, and somewhat understandable. However their response also stated that my credit card would not be charged until my order was shipped. Low and behold, my CC was charged on October 10th. As of Halloween, still no order. Then I got a generic automated response to my latest inuqiry which prompted me to call the Customer Service number that I found after a significant amount of searching online (800-231-4732) and I was promptly told that someone would call me back in 5-7 business days, at which point my credit card will have been charged over a month previously! Personally, I like the deals and all, but they have no right to call that customer service. It is SEVERELY lacking!

amy said:

I heard about bloomingdales launching this brand too. What's up w/ that news?? I am a faithful customer of bloomies and i don't think that's a true fact. Anyways after hearing about elf i went on the site in september but their site was horribly slow and frustrating so decided to forget the whole thing. My friend that had ordered stuff in september received her stuff and said elf stuff are decent for $1 so i just placed an order a minute ago. They must have upgraded their website, transaction went smoothly but they were charging shipping fee so i started surfing through the internet. Girls, u still can get free shipping through this website call www.drugstore.com when u spend $25 or more plus they give u 2 bonus items. I just told my sister about it too! Take advantage of free shipping while it lasts through this site!!! Enjoy~

I too heard of the "Bloomindales" email from my secretary and rushed to buy the product. After about 3 weeks or so I received my shipment and so did all of my friends and coworkers who ordered. My credit card was not charged until the product was shipped. With that being said...PLEASE ORDER BY CREDIT CARD AND CHECK YOUR STATEMENT FOR THE AMOUNT THE COMPANY CHARGES YOU. Two items I ordered (the $15 brush set and some other product) were out of stock. The letter in the packaging said I would not be charged for the products. Of course, when I received my credit card statement, I quickly noticed I was charged the full amount. I tried to contact the company numerous times via email. I finally just called my credit card company and had them issue a chargeback for the merchandise I didn't receive (a chargeback means they issued me a credit for the amt I was overcharged). It was a quick and easy process and that is why I suggest you pay via credit card. Your credit card will issue these chargebacks with little or no fuss.

I finally called the company and reached a live voice today and the gentleman repeatedly apologized but I got the feeling I was not the first person to complain about something like this.

The products were decent, especially for a dollar, but I think I'll stick to more established retailers from this point on.

If price is a significant consideration for you, then the extra headache of dealing with the company might be worth the deep discounts!

Good luck.

amy said:

what i don't get is yeah, the make up is very cheap.. but what is the deal with the shipping and handleing that's very expensive itself,, if its 10 15 dollers that makes me not want it all in itself! ah andthen waiting for it

I also received the e-mail regarding the Bloomingdales new product line promotion. Was very excited. I trusted the Bloomingdale's name, so told all my friends and got on-line to start shopping. I placed an order on 09/25 and was told that it would take 3-5 days to process the order and 5-7 days for shipping. It has now been 1 month and I have received nothing. They charged my card the same day I placed the order, but can't ship anything to me! I tried the 'contact us' option on the website, but the response I received had nothing to do with my inquiry. So, I found the corporate number at qwestdex.com and called it and was given a customer service number. This number is just an answering service, so you have to leave a message and supposedly someone will call you back within 24-48 hours regarding your question. So then you have to sit by your phone waiting for the return call. When you get someone to call you back, all they can say is that they are overwhelmed with orders and backed up on shipping. But they weren't too busy to take the money out of my account! The staff at both the answering service and customer service are very rude and abrupt. They have no time to talk to you. Customer satisfaction is definately NOT a priority for this company. I guess for $1 you don't get that service. I'd much rather spend $20+ for lip gloss at the department store and receive some customer service! Guess I will continue to watch my bank account closely. Seems like this is a big scam!

Hi all -
Just wanted to let you know that I contacted the company directly and I managed speak directly with someone at e.l.f.

I was told that it USUALLY only takes 5-7 business days for shipping. However, they recently had an overwhelming amount of orders and they sold out completely in their warehouse.

To majority of those orders are now being packaged directly at the factory and shipped right from there.

Unfortunately, this has postponed delivery for 3-5 weeks on all orders placed before Sept 25th.

The good news: They have adjusted some things so that orders being placed currently should begin to be received sooner from this point forward.

I ordered ELF products on Sept 21 and still have not received anything--it is now Oct 10. When you order the products, you get in an email saying "Orders are shipped out between 3-5 business days by USPS Priority Mail. Orders
generally take up to 5- 7 business days to arrive at their final destination." It has been way longer than that, and when I tried calling ELF all I get is a machine or an answering service--but no one with any information. When I tried tracking my order on their website, it just says "not found". I also had major problems with their website--lots of errors, very slow. So far, I have not been at all pleased with ELF customer service. Let's see how I feel about the make up (if it ever arrives).

Hi, I just wanted to say I also got an email saying that e.l.f products was a line that Bloomingdales will soon be carrying and as a new line they were having this promotional event where you can order their products for just a buck!!!! After hearing that I eagerly dove right in and ordered nearly $50 worth of products over 10 days ago without doing any research. I still have yet to receive my products, have tried to contact the company twice by email and once again by phone with the response that a representative will get back to me. Still waiting...and waiting to hear from them, now all I can do is hope that they have not shipped my package out yet so I can cancel the order. This has been a hard lesson learned. I highly recommend the hype is not worth the headache.

Hi,

Well me and some other girls rushed onto the ELF site because we were told that there was an error on the website causing all products to go for $1. We were told that these products usually retail at around $15 a piece. Obviously that was not true because there was no fault and the ELF makeup is much like going to poundland. I am waiting for my order now - not sure as to whether I wasted my mon ey now, perhaps should have spent that on 1 piece of makeup which was a brand that i know! Anyway fingers crossed - maybe it will be ok.

I think that I am going to try ELF for the first time today. They have the 10%off lip products promotion and it end tonight at midnight. I was going to go out to the stores (drugstores, Walmart, BigLots) and see if I can get a good deal on some lip liners and some blush. I really want some color on my lips but I hate the feeling and smell of lipsticks and gloss, so I've been looking for some lip liners instead. If I find some today I might just grab them instead to avoid paying for shipping, but something tells me that I'm gonna get a lot more with $10 from ELF(even with shipping included). So if my bargain hunting fails, I'm going to the website and placing an order before midnight. I'm thinking about ordering the lip liner in Mauve Luxe, Bark, and Natural Blush, and also the blushes in Coy and Flushed. I'm Filipino and Caucasian with a cool/neutral skin tone so I think that these colors would be perfect. I'm also into the natural look, just want to look hot without looking like I have makeup on. It has been so hard for me to find makeup that complements my skin tone, so I really hope this works out. Good luck to all of you out there!

hi all..i am thinking about ordering.
but is it true that the bristles fall out of the brush?..i really like using my brushes & was excited at the thought of ordering a bunch of brushes from them..also is thier product really good?
or is it like dollar store quality..
i have bought $1 store makeup before in an emrgency but not any more..the times i have bought they were always so dry..dryed up or powder was very, very dry...then i would try other places like fam dollar and the same so i stop making that mistake and i just dont wanna make the same here..because if i buy i do want to at least get 25$ worth .is this like MAYBELINE,REVLON also i've tried AvONN and JAFRAA...not all bad but not all good either..WHAT are you thoughts on this?..anyone please help!

I have been using elf for a little less than a year, I have gotten a lot of their products probably most of them. The make up cases are 5-10 and are comparable to the ones that are 28 on sephora. they have an elements line, this is a mirrored compact with round slots to put either, eyeshadow, blush or lip color, the compact is $1 and is good quality, the make up that goes in it is a circle that has a magnet at the base. they have some cool colors. I like this because I can put 3 eye shadows and 1 blush in it. I dont use this style of lip gloss so I didnt try that. the whole pkg is $5 when it is full but that is alot cheaper than ones I have gottin in the past other places (20 for compact and 15 for each insert). the face powder comes in only 4 colors at this time and my color varies different times of the year, the tone 2 is good for the summer but too dark in the fall and winter, and the tone1 is too light, a good product however, but would compare to drug store powder. The black mascara is very good it would compare to department store, at least the waterproof type (I dont use the other side) this is good because you should change your mascara every month or 2 for hygeine reasons and if you pay $25 for some you will be reluctant to replace it as often as it should. technically you should be that way with most eye make up and with this line you can afford it. the blushes are good quality, compare to dept store, the lip products are just plain fun, as well as the lip liners, they seem to go with most of the lip colors. as said above the super glossy lip shine is really nice, color is good, it was great until my chihuahua chewed it up, I have to order more. some of the lip colors may not seem as deep as the color looks on their palette, for this I suggest ordering a color a little deeper than you usually would get. I havent tried the consealer yet, the clear mascara is ok but if I wear mascara I want to know it is there so the black is what I use. the brushes and brush cases are comparable to a high line drug store or dept store line occasional hair loose with the big brush but the others are right on. again I change my brushes often so this is a good deal for me. I order elf every 2 months or so I use either a clinique or estee lauder powder foundation and everything else I use is elf. the nail color is good the size is right for be because it goes bad before I use it all anyway. the eyemakeup remover pads are good as well as the nail polish remover pads, the nail file set is good, I got is as a a free gift. I usually get about $20 worth every couple months or so. for a 1st purchase I would suggest the mascara, set of 5 brushes, a case, the elements compact, 3 elements eyeshadows, include the ivory to brighten things up, 1-2 blushes, the super lip gloss and 2 of the other kinds, eye make up remover pads, eye liner, lip liner, everything including postage should be about $30, which is about what you will pay to get your foundation at clinique or el etc.

So I just got my first order from ELF. I must say for a buck a pop its pretty decent stuff. I consider myself somewhat of a beauty guru because I try everything once and I don't discriminate against brands. Some of my favorite products “tried and tested by me” range from the so called "drugstore brands" to Channel and Dior makeup. ELF has some good stuff and ok stuff, as all brands do. Their lip glosses are good stuff. The face powder is a very fine pressed powder, it's not chalky. I would use a powder brush for more even coverage. The concealer is decent, but I have been cursed with REALLY bad dark circles so I'll be using it for other things. Some of their brushes are really good quality! The blush is also nice, I haven't tried the eyeshadow. I saved that for an other day, since eyeshadow is the one thing I am very picky about. When my package came they had forgotten 2 items, so I called the customer service number and it was taken care of in under 2 minutes. Any company has it’s share of quality control issues and human errors, it happens, but how the company remedies the situation will make or break them.
I will defiantly be ordering from them again.I will defiantly be ordering from them again.

Sorry that you received a damaged brush. Call up their customer service at 1-800-231-4732, and they will replace any damaged product. They really stand by their products, and value their customers!

I guess the old saying "You get what you paid for!" Holds true for these products. I purchased a "Professional Total Face Brush." The first day I used it my face was covered with a large portion of the brush when I was finished. I thought O. K. those are just a few bristles. The next day the same thing and the day after more fell out. Today the handle fell off. I think I'll be spending the extra money and buying "Quality" products from now on!

I have been looking for E.L.F cosmetics too. I actually work at a Target store and looked all over the cosmetics section and never found it, thats because it's in the travel section! It's weird, but they're in with all the little shampoos and lotions in the baskets where the travel items are (at 2 Targets). I don't know why, but check yours out, it's probably there too.

Thank you Sonya for the tip on where to find e.l.f. products. I looked for months at Target and never thought to look in the travel size procucts section. The Hypershine lip gloss in Nude is awesome. Also the mascara in black is the best black mascara I have found to date.

If you can't find e.l.f. at Target, try checking a local grocery store. We have a smaller chain-type store around here that carries it, and we live in a relatively small town. I wish I'd found this before I started buying travel sized items for my vacation - I could have purchased enough for my whole face for what one travel-sized item cost me on eBay. Live and learn. Love the lip products and clear mascara/brow groomer, and I can't wait to try more.

I just ordered something a few minutes ago through their website...

From any item, you just "add to shopping cart"... then there's a light green box in the upper left corner (right above the picture of the item in your shopping cart) which says "continue shopping".

From there, you can continue to view products.

To return to your shopping cart, simply click the "shopping cart" button in the upper right corner.

Have fun shopping! I'm sure you'll enjoy the e.l.f. line as much as I do.

i tried to order elf cosmetics, but i cant figure out how to add what i want to my 'shopping cart', its only letting me order one thing at a time. can anyone help me?? i really want to order their makeup!!!

I recently stumbled upon the ELF products at Target. I purchased a lipgloss (chai) and liner (bitter). I was thrilled with the quality of the products the minute I tried them out. I had been searching high and low (and spending lots of money) to find the perfect "glossy natural lip" for my African American skin tone. These products gave me exactly what I was looking for. As for finding the products at Target, Try looking in the bins where the sample/travels sized products are kept. That's where I found them. With such a low price point, Target is not devoting prime display space to these items.

Great Stuff!! I am a vegetarian, and these cosmetics are a great buy for all of you "animal-friendly" peeps out there! I have not yet recived my order, but ir feels great to know that mineral make-up does not have o cost a fortune! Love ya'll~~*

Just a heads up to let all you e.l.f. makeup fans know they're having a blow-out sale January 16 - 30!

I ordered a bunch of stuff a couple of days ago and can't wait to try it. But I just was also wondering if anyone else knew about why Target does not seem to carry the line as I also heard they were supposed to. Although ordering off line is pretty cool because of the freebies, it would be convenient to know that if i needed an item or two in a hurry that i could just nip on over to the Target.

Hey great... Thanks for sharing! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who discovered this great find.

I saw E.L.F. on the style network on the show they have called "Stripped". I did a computer search for more info. After finding your article, I gave it a try. I ordered a little bit of everything. From concealer to brushes and tools, I have liked it all. I have already placed another order for my sister. I have used it for about 3 weeks, and I have really enjoyed my experience. Also, the website has suggestions on acheiving certain looks. I will continue to use E.L.F. My husband is happy with my buys. He likes the look of the makeup on me, but most of all, he likes the money we are saving on not buying my normal brand at the department store makeup counter! Who doesn't love saving money?
