January 2007 Archives
As many of you know, we chose not to renew our Sam's Club membership this year.
Not for any particular reason, other than the fact that we were driving a bit out of the way to take advantage of was I used to call "madhouse shopping".
It really wasn't that bad... it just got old. And after being dues-paying members of the legendary Sam's Club for well over a decade, we began to lose sight of the real "benefits".
Fast-forward 5 months later, and we find ourselves dues-paying members of Costco now!
Here's why...
Did you know?...
We all have a little bit of autism in us.
What varies is the degree to which we are autistic.
That's right. Most people are familiar with those whose level of autism prevents them from functioning... or communicating... or experiencing emotions... or completing different tasks. That is the type of autism see all the time and struggle to understand.
But the fact of the matter is, they have actually determined that we are all autistic to some extent.
Personally, I am glad to know that. Because it means the people I know who have been labeled by the professionals as "autistic" are really not that different from you and me.
See what your autism quotient is...
You've probably heard that effective January 23, 2007 you must have a U.S. Passport in order to get back into this country after you travel to Canada or other countries.
That's right... you might be able to leave this country without a Passport in hand, but you definitely won't be allowed back into the U.S. once you leave!
We got our first-ever U.S. Passports this week. And it was sooooo easy.
Here's how to do it...
Are you good with numbers?
I bet you're not as good with numbers as Daniel Tammet is!
Nor, do you see numbers in quite the same way as he sees numbers.
Who is Daniel Tammet, you ask?
...if so, be sure to take plenty of pictures of yourself.
Why?
Because you could go down in history!
Yep, you could become very, very famous (after you're dead & gone) as a result of redheads becoming "extinct"!
If predictions by the Oxford Hair Foundation are right, the number of natural redheads everywhere will continue to dwindle until there are none left by the year 2100.

Have you ever used a Little Giant ladder before?
We did once.
We borrowed a friend's Little Giant in order to do our exterior Spring cleaning around the house last year.
I've gotta say... it was the best thing we ever did in terms of getting the outside of our house up to par for the summer.
