Woah!
It’s not often that I talk about a new site or idea without having a lot of experience with it.
But this one doesn’t require a lot of experience & know-how in order to wow and amaze you.
Check out Retrevo.com.
It’s a site that contains reviews, ratings, details, and specs for virtually every product under the sun. Think: online shopping site… on steroids!
I like it best for the reviews & ratings.
For example, have a look at the prices, reviews & ratings for the Nikon D80 digital camera.
If you’re anything like me, once you see Retrevo in action, you’ll never go back to standard online shopping & review sites!
This one came to me via Steve Bass.
He wrote on his blog:
With every search, Retrevo grabs information from blogs, forums, reviewers, and manufacturers, and gives me a quick overview in one easy-to-read panel. At a single glance I can get price examples and a few product specs, learn if other users like the product, and see what Retrevo thinks about the product’s selling price. Scroll down from the overview and you’ll find links in categories that include expert and user reviews, company information, and shopping sites. Retrevo is also a good resource if you’re having a problem with a device.” Source
Thanks, Steve!
P.S. While the most detailed information is provided for electronic gadgets, I also found some good info on the Bissell Proheat vacuum & other household items, as well.
I like to help people find unique ways to do things that will save time & money — so I write about “outside the box” Household Tips and Life Hacks that most wouldn’t think of. I’m super-organized. And I LOVE to clean! I even enjoy doing laundry (but not ironing). I’m also a lifelong dog owner — so I often share my favorite tips for living with dogs inside your home (like smart home design choices and dog-friendly cleaning & decorating ideas). Career-wise, I’ve been sharing my best ideas with others by blogging full-time since 1998 (the same year that Google started… and before the days of Facebook and YouTube). Prior to that, I worked in Higher Ed over 10 years before switching gears to pursue activities that I’m truly passionate about instead. For example, I’ve worked at a vet, in a photo lab, and at a zoo — to name a few. I enjoy the outdoors via bicycle, motorcycle, Jeep, or RV. When I’m not cleaning, organizing, decorating, or fixing something… you’ll find me at the corner of Good News & Fun Times as publisher of The Fun Times Guide (32 fun & helpful websites). To date, I’ve personally written over 200 articles about cleaning, organization, DIY repairs, and household hacks on this site! A few have over 2M shares; many others have over 100K shares.
