A Trick To Get More Candy In A Russell Stover Build A Box!
Russell Stover outlet stores let you fill an empty box with chocolates for as little as $10. (It’s always a relatively low flat fee.)
You’re allowed to stuff inside the box as many chocolates as you can physically fit inside the box! (They provide several different boxes with various messages on them for you to choose from — and you get to pick your own candy flavors.)
Watch this video to see HOW to fit the most individual candies inside a Build-it-Yourself Russell Stover candy box (These tips are from my Mom, who does this every year when she vacations near a Russell Stover candy outlet.)

You’re not gonna want to do this, that’s for sure. Because it takes time!
[Yeah]
The main thing is to keep them upright.
And then where the flat side — where it’s curved — it gives you a little bit of area to push another one down in.
[Yeah. I put the flat sides up next to the box.]
Well, I got the mints!
[The rest of them will be on top.]
Mmm hmm. Especially the flat… that’s a flat one. These flat caramels will go on the sides.
Goodness. You’d think we had more room.
We’re not done yet!
[What’s the next trick? Put the case on… to fit more in between the case and the box?]
Then… go to the other side and push them in!
[You did it!]
Yes!
[That’s 2.26 lbs of chocolate stuffed Russell Stover box. In 4 minutes!]

I like to help people find unique ways to do things that will save time & money — so I write about “outside the box” Household Tips and Life Hacks that most wouldn’t think of.
I’m super-organized. And I LOVE to clean! I even enjoy doing laundry (but not ironing). I’m also a lifelong dog owner — so I often share my favorite tips for living with dogs inside your home (like smart home design choices and dog-friendly cleaning & decorating ideas).
Career-wise, I’ve been sharing my best ideas with others by blogging full-time since 1998 (the same year that Google started… and before the days of Facebook and YouTube). Prior to that, I worked in Higher Ed over 10 years before switching gears to pursue activities that I’m truly passionate about instead. For example, I’ve worked at a vet, in a photo lab, and at a zoo — to name a few. I enjoy the outdoors via bicycle, motorcycle, Jeep, or RV.
When I’m not cleaning, organizing, decorating, or fixing something… you’ll find me at the corner of Good News & Fun Times as publisher of The Fun Times Guide (32 fun & helpful websites). To date, I’ve personally written over 200 articles about cleaning, organization, DIY repairs, and household hacks on this site! A few have over 2M shares; many others have over 100K shares.
