Has anyone else seen these?…

They’re screw-on lids that fit on most any bottle (lotion, ketchup, shampoo, etc.) making it possible to store the bottle upside down and dispense the product a little at a time from the flip-top lid.

They’re great for products that don’t come in their own upside down bottles — like many condiments and shampoos do.

What makes these handy gadgets so great is the fact that all of the product runs to the lid, so no matter how empty the bottle is you can squeeze out the very last drop.

Also, the bottom platform that they rest on is so wide and sturdy, it prevents even larger, heavier bottles from tipping over.

Finally, it’s a cinch to actually dispense some of the product as you need it, since the wide base easily snaps apart from the hole in the dispenser end. When you’re done, simply snap it back closed.

I spotted these flip-up lids at Bed, Bath & Beyond.

I knew my chances of finding something like them in the future were slim, so I snatched up the last 4 they had for 25-cents each.

Turns out this was an early version of The Original Bigfoot bottle inversion cap that’s currently available on Amazon. It’s made by Larien Products. They also make the Bagel Biter (the original bagel guillotine).

Upside Down Bottles & Lids ROCK!

Don’t you agree that upside down should be the new right side up?

The best kind of bottle is the kind that stands on its own flip-top, so gravity does the work for you.

Why doesn’t every manufacturer put their product in a squeeze bottle that can stand upside down on its own?

These days, I pretty much only buy shower products if the bottles can stand upside down with the lid on the bottom. Luckily many body soaps, shampoos and conditioners come this way now.

For the products that don’t come that way, these new lid inventions make it possible to get to the bottom of the bottle… naturally!

So yeah, they’re green and they save you money — because you get to use every last drop of the product you bought.

Other Upside Down Bottles, Holders & Lids

Personally, I haven’t seen any other lids like The Original Bigfoot inversion cap.

If you happen to find some similar lids, please let us know in the Comments below!

  • The FIFO Bottle is supposedly the type of plastic bottle that Subway uses to dispense sauces and dressings on your sandwich.
  • MyBotto is another brilliant invention. It’s a bottle holder that provides a handy way to store regular bottles (with or without flip-top lids) upside down — to ensure that you get every last drop out of the bottle. They’re available here.
